A Letter From The Chapter
Dear Potential New Members,
The Alpha Omega Chapter at The University Alabama is so excited to welcome you to our first official primary recruitment this Fall. Recruitment is a great way to get involved on campus, and opens opportunities that could last a lifetime. The University of Alabama has over 35,000 students, and joining Sigma Kappa helps make this campus a little smaller and more personal. Coming to a large university can be intimidating, but I am so excited for you to take this leap of faith and find your home away from home at college. I challenge you to stay true to yourself and your core values, and to keep an open mind through the recruitment process.
Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.” Rush week can be super stressful, but just know that you will end up with women that want to get to know you and help you grow into the best version of yourself.
Abigail Short, Vice President of Membership
