As an organization Sigma Kappa encourages our members to be involved in their campus and community. Because of this focus on involvement outside of Sigma Kappa, our sisters are able to engage with the campus and community in ways that are important to them by hosting and participating in a number of different events.
Greek Week is centered on bringing together the University of Alabama Greek Community and giving back to local and national non-profit organizations in and around the Tuscaloosa area. There are competitions, activities, and service projects throughout the week. We are so proud of our Sigma Kappa sisters and our paired Greek Week organizations for placing third overall for our first year on campus!
Sigma Kappa competed in Homecoming 2018. The chapter had an amazing week as we competed in the athletic events, including basketball and dodgeball, and even placed 1st in bowling! The chapter created an outstanding lawn decoration that showcased our Alabama school spirit! We went all out for the parade, where we went back in time for our 90's "nEw Kids on the row' theme." We look forward to continuing to be more involved in Homecoming here at the University of Alabama!
This past semester we had Sweets with Sigma Kappa alumnae event. Our chapter members were able to interact with our alumnae over sweet treats! It was a huge success, and we can't wait for more alumnae events to come!
